HAND-TIED EXTENSIONS
What is hand-tied hair?
Hand-tied refers to the method in which the hair is attached to the weft. The hair is sewn onto the weft by hand which gives the flattest possible result. Hand-tied wefts are the most comfortable and least detectable because they lay the flattest against the head.
How long does it take to get used to hand tied extensions?
Yes, you can feel hand tied extensions. Once the hair has been installed, you should feel a little tightness for a few days but after a few days, they should be loose enough to style and wear them however you like.
What to expect after getting hand tied extensions?
Hand-tied wefts can also feel slightly itchy the first few days to a week and this will subside. As long as you get the proper volume of hair, it will be as natural as wearing your own hair. Once got a hand-tied extension, you can pull your hair up, work out, play with your hair… literally anything you regularly do!
How many times a week should you wash hand tied extensions?
We recommend washing 1-2 times a week. We also recommend deep conditioning the extensions at least every 1-2 weeks.
How often do you move up hand tied extensions?
For the best results, it’s recommended to get your extensions moved up approximately every 8 weeks, which totally depends on your natural growth and how rough or gentle you are with the extensions. When you get them moved up, you just get the rows moved up—you don’t purchase new hair each time.
How long does it take to install 2 rows of hand tied extensions?
It usually takes 2-3 hours to install hand-tied extensions.
